Salvation must be earned by one' s works.

'Working Hard For The Reward Of Eternal Life' (Title page..Watchtower, Aug. 15, 1972 p.491 )

'It is for the reward of eternal life that every last person on earth should now be working.' (Watchtower, Aug. 15, 1972 p.492)

One must be part of the Watch Tower organization to be part of God's kingdom

'A third requirement is that we be associated with God's channel, his organization....To receive everlasting life in the earthly Paradise we must identify that organization and serve God as part of it.' (Watchtower, Feb. 15, 1983 p.12)

'So, recognition of that governing body and its place in God's theocratic arrangement of things is necessary for submission to the headship of God's Son.' (Watchtower, Dec. 15, 1972)

One cannot be sure of his/her salvation for at least another 1000 years

'...they can demonstrate to God directly that their unchangeable choice, their unbreakable decision, is to worship and serve the only living and true God forever on paradise earth. Hence, before adopting them as his free sons through Jesus Christ, Jehovah God will subject these perfected human creatures to a thorough test for all time.' (Life Everlasting-In Freedom Of The Sons Of God, W.T.B.T.S. 1966 p.398)

'At the end of the thousand years...reaching of pefection by all then on earth...the Bible reveals that persons reaching that state will not be assured of everlasting life until they prove faithful against a final attack by Satan.' (Life Does Have A Purpose, W.T.B.T.S 1977 p.177)

  • The Bible Teaches

Salvation cannot be earned. It is God's free gift.

When His disciples heard it, they were greatly astonished, saying, "Who then can be saved?"
But Jesus looked at them and said to them, "With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible." (Mt.19: 25-26)

For by grace you have been saved through faith, and not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. (Eph.2: 8-9)

Identification and association with Jesus Himself equals entrance to God's kingdom

"I have come as a light into the world, that whoever believes in Me should not abide in darkness...For I have not spoken on My own authority; but the Father who sent Me gave Me a command, what I should speak. And I know that His command is everlasting life. Therefore, whatever I speak, just as the Father has told Me, so I speak." (Jn.12: 46, 49-50)

Jesus said to him,"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me." (Jn.14: 6)

We can be sure. Its God's word against ours.

...knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law but by faith in Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Christ Jesus, that we might be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law; for by the works of the law no flesh shall be justified. (Galatians 2:16)

He who believes in the Son of God has the witness in himself; He who does not believe God has made Him a liar, because he has not believed the testimony that God has given of His Son. And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life. (1 John 5:10-13)
